Before I say anything else, do you know who or what is Pantone?
Some of you may know, some may not, so here’s a quick introduction: They are the Color Police, as I lovingly call them, or as they would better describe it:
Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Incorporated, is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer.
Have you ever wondered who sets the trends for Color of the Year or puts palettes in and out of fashion? The Color Police do (aka Pantone).
Pantone named UltraViolet as the color of the year, a post on that later this week.
They also declared a set of 24 shades of colors as trendy and fashionable that can be used in all types of design (interiors, fashion, graphic, etc.) through their reports from London and Newyork spring 2018 fashion weeks, as well as 4 Classic shades. I must say, I totally agree with them; those colors are gorgeous with some pretty interesting names.
